Looking for pet mice in central Illinois

I'm looking for one or two female mice for pets only. I have no desire to breed them, I just find mice captivating. I've had only petstore mice to this point, and I'd like to stop supporting my local petstore. My roommate worked at the vet where the petstore took their sick animals and told me some stories... :(

I may have a solution, but you will have to act fast and let me know.
Myself and a friend breeder have several females available. My family is coming to crete/chicago area by the end of the week. I could send some females with my mom, but you would have to let me know where to meet you, and some details, etc.
These girls are four to six generations pedigreed and some are pretty young, like six weeks.

I am interested in one of your mice, but I live farther south than the Chicago area and I work on the weekends. I could make it up to Dwight on Saturday, though. If that works, send me a private message or email - for some reason I can't send a private message to you.

I'm sorry it won't work out, too. The reason why i'm only looking for one mouse is that I already have 2. I was talking to my roommate about adding a third after reading this site, when she told me her vet stories. Maybe next time.
